Jeff was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1961 and graduated high school in 1979.  He began attending the University of Missouri at St. Louis in Fall, 1979 but never graduated, opting to put his career as a computer programmer first and eventually dropping out of college altogether.  He worked as computer operations supervisor at a bank, senior programmer at the St. Louis County Police Department, senior programmer/analyst at A. G. Edwards and Sons Brokerage, product architect at TOSC International in Houston, Texas, and senior software developer at BMC Software in Austin, Texas before entering full-time ministry in Dilley in 2008.  During his last three years in software development, Jeff served the Star and Center City United Methodist Churches as part-time pastor while working to finish his undergraduate degree.  Once that was complete in 2009 and while pastor in Dilley, Jeff completed seminary as an ExL (Extended Learning) student at Asbury Theological Seminary earning a Master of Divinity degree in 2012.  Jeff was subsequently commissioned as a Provisional Elder at the 2013 Southwest Texas Annual Conference.  In June, 2014, Jeff was appointed to move from Dilley and serve as senior pastor of First United Methodist Church in Beeville, Texas. He was then ordained as Elder in full connection in June, 2015 and appointed to Freyburg/Flatonia in June, 2016.
Jeff has been married to his wife, Peggy, for 24 years and enjoy traveling, cooking, and entertaining.  They have a son, Steven, who served in the Navy and now resides in Houston, Texas where he works as a plumber.  Jeff and Peggy have always centered their lives around Christ and His Church; Peggy volunteers in the kitchen and on the hospitality committee.  Jeff and Peggy also enjoy their dogs, Sadie and Holly.  Both Jeff and Peggy are very straightforward, down-to-earth, honest people.  Jeff, in particular, does not enjoy writing about himself in the third person.  Neither Jeff nor Peggy can sing or have any musical talent whatsoever, not even a joyful noise, to be quite honest.
